The Fitting Experience

A great bra changes how you stand, how clothes sit, how you feel. Our fittings are private, relaxed and completely free - no obligation, ever.

01 A private room, a warm welcome Your fitting happens behind a closed door, at your pace. Tell us what’s not working - digging wires, slipping straps, nothing in your size.
02 Measured properly We measure and assess fit on the body, not just the tape. Most women are surprised by their true size - and by how different the right one feels.
03 Try, compare, decide We bring styles to you and fit each one. No pressure, no rush - you buy only what makes you feel wonderful.
Every stage of life, every body

Every stage of life, every body

First bras, maternity, sports, bridal corsetry, post-surgery and prosthesis fittings - Sharon, Pam and Nadine are trained across them all, with regular training from Amoena and Panache. Front-opening styles, larger cups, mastectomy ranges: if we don’t have it, we’ll order it in.

Walk in, call ahead, or send an enquiry to reserve a private appointment.

Your fitting questions

Everything women ask us before their first appointment.

Do I need to make an appointment?

You’re welcome to walk in, and we’ll fit you then and there if the boutique is quiet. Ringing ahead on 03 5722 1971 is worth it though - it means the fitting room is free and your fitter is yours for as long as you need. For prosthesis and post-surgery fittings we always recommend booking, so we can set aside proper time.

I’ve never had a professional fitting. What happens?

You’re in a private room with the door closed, and you stay in control the whole way through. We start by asking what isn’t working - wires that dig, straps that slip, nothing that fits in your size. Then we measure and assess the fit on your body, bring styles to you, and fit each one properly.

You can keep your top on until you’re comfortable, bring someone with you, and stop whenever you like.

How long does a fitting take?

Allow around twenty to thirty minutes. It can be quicker if you know what you’re after, and longer for bridal, maternity or prosthesis fittings, where there is more to try and more to talk through. We don’t rush and we don’t watch the clock.

Is a fitting free? Do I have to buy anything?

Fittings are completely free and there is no obligation to buy. If nothing feels right, that’s a perfectly good outcome - you’ll leave knowing your size and what to look for.

Do I need to know my size before I come in?

Not at all. Most women who come in are wearing the wrong size, so a size you’ve carried for years is a starting point at best. Bring the bra you’re least happy with if you like - showing us what fails is often more useful than a number.

How often should I be refitted?

Once a year is a sensible habit, and sooner after any change - weight up or down, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause or surgery. Bodies move. A bra that was right two years ago may not be right now.

My daughter needs her first bra. What age do you fit from?

Girls develop at their own pace, so we go by what she needs rather than the number on her birthday. First-bra fittings are gentle, quick and explained as we go. Anyone under 18 should come in with a parent or carer. Give us a call beforehand if you’d like to talk it through first.

Do you fit after breast surgery?

Yes - it’s one of the things we’re known for. Sharon is a certified fitter in Advanced Breast Care and Amoena, and consultations are private, unhurried and confidential. Full detail is on the breast care page.
